Talk to a Scientist - is а community created to support Ukrainian high school students interested in life sciences, connecting students and active researchers with mutual interests. The program is focused on:

• informal chats that give an opportunity for students to openly talk to experienced scientists from around the world. We encourage students to ask questions about research, career pathways and life trajectory of the invited researchers;

• a series of thematic courses of student's choice, where participants can delve into their topic of interest;

• career guidance meetings focused on preparation for application to Universities, as well as a course for practicing English.

The online format aims to create a network of support and allow students to meet each other.

Talk to a Scientist is a volunteer initiative, so participation in the School is free of charge.

For whom?

The initiative is aimed at Ukrainian high-school students.

When?

Our meetings are held several times a week in the evening, for more information - see the schedule page. We encourage students to attend real-time meetings, but all program participants also have access to meeting recordings and (if necessary) course recordings.

Talk to a Scientist was created by Ukrainian and international students, scientists and teachers in early March 2022.
